Uyiwa Network (“Uyiwa,” “we,” “our”) operates the mutual visibility network at uyiwa.com. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle your personal information when you use our service.

At registration:

• Your name and business name
• Email address
• Website URL
• Business subcategory and community group
• A short business description (optional)

During use:

• Widget impression and click data (which businesses your widget displays, when)
• Widget installation status and last-seen timestamp
• Logo image (if uploaded)

Payment information:

We do not store credit card details. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, Inc., which provides us only with a customer ID and subscription status.

• To provide the Uyiwa service — placing you in your group and running the widget rotation
• To display your business card in the widget on partner sites (business name, subcategory, website URL, logo)
• To send transactional emails: widget code, widget detection confirmation, billing receipts
• To send email sequences about getting the most from the network — you can unsubscribe at any time
• To show your impression and click statistics in your dashboard
• To contact you about important account or policy changes

When your widget is installed and active, the following information is visible to visitors on your group partners' websites:

• Your business name
• Your subcategory
• Your logo (if uploaded)
• A link to your website URL

This is the core function of the service and cannot be opted out of while maintaining membership.

We use the following third-party services to operate Uyiwa:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Supabase Privacy Policy
• ZeptoMail — transactional email delivery. Zoho Privacy Policy

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising on external platforms.

We use session cookies to keep you logged in to your dashboard. These are necessary for the service to function and are automatically removed when you log out or close your browser.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels on uyiwa.com.

We retain your account data for as long as your membership is active. After you cancel, we retain your data for up to 90 days before deletion, in case you wish to reactivate.

Impression and click data is retained for 12 months for analytics purposes, then anonymised or deleted.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@uyiwa.com. We will respond within 30 days.

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and restricted API access. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@uyiwa.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify active members by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect.
